Stevie Wonder is getting an award for advancing social justice. The music legend will be getting the inaugural Icon Award from the Legal Defense Fund on May 10th.
A statement from the organization says Wonder is being honored for "his steadfast work throughout his illustrious career" that "demonstrates his commitment to confronting the barriers that face Black Americans and other marginalized communities." Wonder will receive the award at the 34th National Equal Justice Awards Dinner at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
