Dave Chappelle’s Alleged Attacker Receives Plea Deal Offer

The man who jumped onstage and tackled comedian Dave Chappelle during last month’s Netflix Is A Joke festival, has been offered a plea agreement. 23-year-old Isaiah Lee is said to be considering his options.

Rolling Stone was first to report that Lee may accept a plea agreement in the case where he was charged with misdemeanor battery, misdemeanor possession of a deadly weapon with intent to assault, and two violations for jumping on the stage and attacking the comedian. Lee was then himself rushed and sustained injuries—including a broken arm. He appeared in court this week still wearing a cast and sling.

“An offer has been extended by the City Attorney’s Office, but it hasn’t been accepted yet, and I believe they’re waiting to see what’s going on with the felony case,” Deputy City Attorney Giselle Fernandez told Rolling Stone after the hearing.
