Steve Harvey List on His Mount Rushmore of Comedians

A&E’s Right to Offend: The Black Comedy Revolution has been showcasing the historic highs that have led to barriers being broken in the comedy business.

And according to Steve Harvey, these members on and off of his “Mount Rushmore of Comedians,” are who we have to thank for such heights. During the recently aired episode, Harvey appeared to replace the former presidents on the monument with the funny stylings of Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, and Chris Rock.

“When you put stand-ups in a rock, it’s Dave Chappelle in that rock, it’s Chris Rock in that rock, it’s Kevin Hart in that rock, and the Kings of Comedy is a collective group in that rock.”

He also paid homage to the late Richard Pryor and the legendary Eddie Murphy. “Richard Pryor is a stand-alone dude,” he said in the episode. “You know, if there was a Mount Rushmore, he don’t even get on the mountain.
