Nationwide gas has increased 15 to 20 cents per gallon in the past week. Florida and Georgia are feeling the pressure at the pump, too.

Florida increased 13 cents to $3.77 this week. That's 35 cents over last month at this time. Georgia took a big hit last week. A 17 cent increase was recorded over the previous week and 34 cents across the month.

AAA says the reason for the rise is supply and demand. During this time of the year, refineries are shut down for a maintenance period while they are switching over to their summer blend fuel. Also, crude oil costs are up and those costs are passed on to the consumer.

Fuel costs are expected to continue to rise through April. Experts do not expect it to go over $4.
