Sexy actress Monica Raymund has been cast in a new role on "Chicago Fire". She was a recurring character on "The Good Wife" on CBS. She will play as paramedic Gabriella, who's committed to her job.
Congrats to Monica. It's pretty cool when you can walk from one job into another. Right-on!!!

Mike Smith
Although Mike Smith's career in radio began in Jacksonville at the now defunct WPDQ Q92 in 1987, he is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.
His career in radio now spans almost 20 years. The bulk of his radio experience hails from Clear Channel's sister station WYLD FM98 in New Orleans. It was there he hosted Sunday Morning Gospel Inspirations, and produced the Tom Joyner Morning Show for many years before relocating to the Jacksonville area in 2002.
Mike has also served as Sports Director (primarily covering the New Orleans Saints), and Music Director for WYLD Amen940's gospel station.
Mike is currently the producer for the Tom Joyner Morning Show on WSOL V101.5FM, and the Steve Harvey Show on radio station WJBT 93.3FM. Mike is also the Community Affairs Director for both stations, and host Community Viewpoint every Sunday morning at 7am - 7:30am. In addition, you can hear Mike every Saturday from 4p - 9p with jammin' old school party mixes.

Whitney Laid To Rest
Singer, actress, and grammy award winner Whitney Houston was finally laid to rest on Sunday, February 19th, after her death over a week ago. I watch her private 'home-going' services which took place at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey.
The 4-hour long 'Home-Going' featured some of Houston's closest friends, and admirers paying homage to her. She was laid to rest next to her father who passed away in 2003.
Whitney Houston will be missed by her family, and her many fans. Rest in peace, Whitney!

Whitney! Whitney! Whitney!
Once again the music world has been rocked with yet another shocking loss, and it seems all so surreal that Whitney Houston has died at the young age of 48!
Suddenly, we are faced with how Whitney Houston affected us with her beautiful, and heavenly voice. I know I am, and suddenly I'm hearing her in my mind singing, "I Love The Lord" from the movie "The Preacher's Wife. It was a song I played from time to time on my "Sunday Morning Gospel Inspirations Show" on radio station WYLD FM98 in New Orleans.
Everytime I heard that song, I had to stop what I was doing in the control room, because my eyes would well-up. The portion of the song that got to me the most was the back-end where she sanged the words, "I'll haste unto His throne!"
I truly believe that she is at peace now, and she is singing somewhere around God's throne at this very moment; even singing notes never heard to the human ear. God bless you, Whitney! Thank you so much for sharing 'you' with us. We will miss you!

Soulful Singer Chrisette Michele
I recently had the pleasure of hearing, and meeting soulful songstress Chrisette Michele in a mini-concert at Skyline Lounge in Jacksonville, Florida.
It's not often I would admit to being in-love with someone's music, but that is how I feel about her music. I recall the first time I saw her, and it was on the David Letterman Show. I recall her having so much fun while singing, and playing the piano. So, it was a real treat seeing her perform in person.
I wish her the fondest success in her music career. You go Chrisette!!! :)

Kyla Pratt Loves Being A Mom
Actress Kyla Pratt is all grown up and she is a mom too! Recently she revealed that she loves being a mom, but she and her fiance isn't ready to be married.
