REPORTERS TREATED UNFAIRLY ON RIHANNA TOUR

Rihanna promised unprecedented access to some 200 reporters invited along on her seven-day, seven-country, seven-concert 777 tour. But according to the press pool on board, Rihanna hasn’t given them anything – and they are quite upset. Reporters aboard the Boeing 777 whisking the singer off to such locations as Mexico City, Stockholm and London found themselves exhausted and ignored, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “We were looking for a story, and we turned out to BE the story,” declared a correspondent for the Fuse TV music channel, observing: “Everyone is delirious to the point where we are chanting random things. One guy from Australia has streaked stark naked throughout the entire plane! Everyone is up with their cameras rolling waiting for a glimpse at Rihanna. We don’t know if it’s going to pay off, but we’re all ready!”  Rihanna had gone down the aisles pouring champagne for the press last week while en route from LA to Mexico City on day one of the tour…But she’s been MIA ever since, prompting a quasi-rebellion in the wee hours of Monday morning during a flight from Berlin to London. Rihanna’s tour, in support of her forthcoming “Unapologetic” album, ends Wednesday in New York

ALICIA KEYS REUNITED WITH FATHER

Alicia Keys has reportedly reunited with her father, Craig Cook, after years of being estranged from him. In a new interview with Britain's "You" magazine, the singer shares how her and her father were able to mend the pieces of their broken relationship back together. "The process started when my [paternal] grandmother became ill," she said. "You realize what's important when you see a person you love dearly and you're not going to have them for long. It was important to her. And I saw [my father's] love for her. I realized he wasn't an evil person so I said, 'Can we start from this point on? Can we be friends? I can start to understand you and you can start to understand me.'" Alicia recalls the years of anger she felt after Cook left her family when she was just 2-years old, leaving her to be raised by single mom, Teresa. "My father and I are fine now," she shared. "I would say in the process of growing up, you realize you've been holding on to anger. I was angry then and am sure I had the right to be angry, but if you hold on to all this anger the only person you're hurting is you." Now, Alicia says that bonding over her own 2-year old son, Egypt, has helped she and her dad get closer. "I feel both me and my father have grown up," she said. "I think something happens when you become a grandparent. You have a different mind-set. There's less pressure on the relationship, so maybe it's closer. He was with Egypt last week and he loved it."

CELEBRITY QUICKIES

The ladies of “Basketball Wives” know their worth and have demanded raises. According to TMZ, Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Tami Roman and Suzie Ketcham threatened to walk off the show if the executives didn’t issue a raise. To ensure some leverage, the ladies refused to sign contracts for season 5 until their demands are met. However, word is that the show’s executives told the ladies no raises will be issued and if they didn’t accept it, they’d be replaced. But really, what would “Basketball Wives” be without the main ladies? Until they really go on strike, production schedules have been issued.
