Shaquille O’Neal continues to reinvent himself, with great purpose. The now retired NBA center’s gimmicks don’t always stick, but maybe with his new vodka, that will change. Yep, that’s right, he’s launching a coconut-flavored vodka called “Luv Shaq,” under Devotion Vodka.  Eurweb reports it’s a sugar and gluten-free drink, bottled in containers decorated with images of the big man himself. According to Devotion’s founder, the new drink will be Diddy’s Ciroc contender. Beyond that, the former athlete is an entrepreneur at heart. Currently, he purchases foreclosed properties and sells them back to the financially distressed owners at lower mortgage rates with more manageable terms.

Halle Berry and Chaka Khan will be recognized at the next “BET Honors” in January, the cable network announced today. The annual ceremony – which recognizes distinguished African Americans performing at high levels in music, literature, entertainment media, service and education – is scheduled to air Feb. 11, 2013 at 9 p.m. during Black History Month. Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Common, Clarence Avant, T.D. Jakes and basketball star Lisa Leslie will also be feted at the event, which will tape Jan. 12 in Washington D.C. at the Warner Theatre and hosted by Gabrielle Union. Previous honorees have included Cicely Tyson, Jamie Foxx, Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah and Sean “Diddy” Combs. Performers have included Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Mary J. Blige and Patti LaBelle.

Michael Ealy quietly slipped a wedding ring on the finger of his longtime girlfriend back in October, his rep tells People.com. The 39-year-old actor ad Khatira Rafiqzada, 31, wed in a private ceremony in Los Angeles following four years of dating. “Michael has always been a private guy, and he wanted to enjoy his time as a newlywed with his wife privately,” his rep said. “Now that some time has passed and the holidays are here, he wanted to share the news with his fans that he is married and very happy.”
