
According to reports, Lauryn Hill has been sentenced to 3 months in prison for failing to pay taxes on about $1 million in earnings. The Associated Press reports that in a statement to the judge, she expressed that she had the intention of paying the taxes, but due to a period of time where she wasn't involved with the music business, she was unable to. A judge two weeks ago said Hill had paid only about $50,000 of more than $500,000 she owes. AP also reports that Hill had paid over $970,000 to satisfy state and federal tax liabilities, according to her attorney. Jennifer Lopez was rushed off set while shooting a new music video in Florida on Sunday after gunshots were reportedly fired nearby.The singer/actress was in the middle of an interview with “Entertainment Tonight’s” Rob Marciano on the set at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park when shots rang out.
